Founded in 1967, BRAND was a subsidiary of a publicly traded company (The Brand Companies). Its primary business was engineering, manufacturing and installing firestops and thermal insulation exclusively in commercial nuclear power plants.

The current owners purchased the company in 1994, and initiated a diversification program that focused on entering the commercial and industrial passive fire protection market. Over the past 12 years BRAND has become a full service passive fire protection company with offices located in Groton, Connecticut and Hunlock Creek, Pennsylvania.

The company now specializes in the installation of firestops, fireproofing, mechanical insulation we also inspect, install and maintain fire and smoke dampers. BRAND has developed specialized installation and maintenance programs that address the requirements associated with JCAHO in the health care industry as well as the unique quality control requirements found in pharmaceutical and research facilities.

Our installation and maintenance programs address NFPA, BOCA, IBC as well as state and local code requirements. BRAND is supported by Underwriters Laboratories approved products and installation.
