FIRESTOPPING

FIRESTOPPING SERVICES INCLUDE:

  • Inspection and walk-down services; including, the assessment of all rated and wall barrier firestops and joint seals and the development of a detained corrective action report.
  • New construction, retro fits and code compliance up-grades.
  • Firestopping of all trade penetrations.
  • Sealing of unconventional and large openings that are outside of the bounds of UL testing, through the use of the material manufactures engineering evaluations.
  • Firestopping of curtain walls, slab edge construction joints and areas that are difficult to access.
  • Extending the top of a wall that does not currently butt up to the floor above.
  • Removal of deficient firestop material and replacement with UL complaint seals.
  • BRAND provides written documentation and UL systems reference for sealed Firestop penetrations.
  • Preparation of submittal packages & engineering judgments.

BRAND is a certified FM Approved 4991 Firestop Installation Installer. We have been actively installing and repairing Firestops since its inception in 1994. Throughout our history, BRAND has developed a team of highly qualified, specialized technicians that are capable of installing all of the major material manufacturers� products. Additionally, BRAND has installed firestops in hundreds of commercial, industrial, educational, pharmaceutical, power plants and healthcare facilities throughout the northeast and upper mid-Atlantic states.

FIREPROOFING SERVICE


BRAND offers a full range of fireproofing services designed to support new construction, renovations and building upgrades. Our fireproofing applications include the use of large - high production pumps, small - mobile pumps, hand patching and dry fireproofing material applications. We install all types of Fireproofing; including, standard cementitious material, thin coat, intumescent paints and dry fiber board.

FIREPROOFING SERVICES:

  • Medium volume applications; typically used in confined spaces or on small projects.
  • Multiple crews can be used to increase daily production and compress schedules.
  • Restoration or retrofit services include; removal and disposal of existing material, steel preparation and new material application.
  • Dry board fireproofing includes; the installation of UL approved dry fiberboards to achieve the required fire rating. The advantage of the board application is that it is dry, not temperature sensitive and can be applied in an occupied building with minimal disruption to daily operations.
  • Defective fireproofing removal and replacement services.
  • Extensive experience in hard to access fireproof patching projects.

BRAND offers a fireproofing Design Review and Value Engineering Service and will make recommendations for cost reductions if the specification used exceeds the minimum code requirement. BRAND will review your specification and assure that they meet the intent of the relevant IBC or BOCA codes.

Brand projects range in size from as small as one day to multiple years. We can meet any job requirement from pipe insulation, boards, blocks, blankets and sheet material for any application - on any surface. Our Managers work closely with General Contractors and Maintenance / Engineering professionals for the duration of the project giving you assurance of quality service and workmanship.
